Professional Development

Lauren has helped multiple clients make their training programs more effective incorporating drama, music, video, and comedy to convey information, to engage audiences, and to make content more memorable. Here are some examples:

Sexual Harassment Prevention Office

Lauren Mayer Productions created the live theatre-based training for Stanford's bi-annual mandatory program for faculty & supervisory staff for 2017 and will do so again for 2019. The two-hour program includes a cast of four actors portraying a variety of scenarios, and incorporates Stanford experts in the scenes, with Lauren acting as the facilitator and emcee.

'Roadmap' Experience

For this video game company, Lauren was brought in to add creativity and fun to a year-long team-building program. In addition to serving as the project manager, facilitator, and onsite emcee, she helped the various divisions connect through making humorous videos, and she ended up running the program in several international divisions as well as throughout North America.

Trade Show Product Training

At an industry-wide trade show, multiple vendors offered training to independent salespeople. While everyone else had experts with power points, Quantum hired us to put on a comedy/music show about their storage products, and as a result ranked #1 out of over 20 vendors as the most effective, memorable and enjoyable presentation.

Humor Training

Lauren has led workshops for a variety of associations in how to use humor, whether it's to 'elevate an elevator pitch' or to add interest to a full-length keynote speech. (She's also acted as an individual speaking coach, including preparing an author for a book tour, helping an emcee prepare for a conference panel, and showing a judge how to use humor to diffuse tension in the courtroom).
